I am testing where agents and search can help with practical software without smuggling in more authority than they earned.
The problem
A demo can look clever while hiding its boundaries. A real workflow needs clear scope, reviewable outputs, and a useful failure state.
Work involved
I explore these systems through application development, writing, and workflow design. This is active work, not a claim that the problem is solved.
Approach
- Start with the job and the boundary, then decide whether an agent belongs in the workflow.
- Treat search and retrieval as parts of a larger system, not a substitute for judgment.
- Keep outputs reviewable, explainable, and tied to a practical user need.
What this work shows
The point is not to make AI look impressive. It is to make the workflow's scope, failure modes, and review points visible.
